The Jewish Federation of Detroit offers several grantmaking funds that support Jewish and non-Jewish nonprofit organizations across metropolitan Detroit.
Some of these funds are managed directly by us, while others are independent grantmaking funds affiliated with Federation—giving organizations different ways to find funding that fits their work.

The Irwin & Bethea
Green College Life Fund
Established in 2000 through the Jewish Federation of Detroit, The Irwin & Beathea Green College Life Fund supports Jewish student life on college campuses. It funds programs, cultural initiatives and events designed to enhance the Jewish experience for students. For more information, email grants@jewishdetroit.org.
Early Childhood Education and
Congregational School Stipends
Through this program, synagogue‑ and Chabad‑affiliated early childhood centers and congregational schools receive $190 per student. For more information, email grants@jewishdetroit.org.
