The Ben-Gurion Society (BGS) locally and nationally recognizes young adults ages 21 to 39 who demonstrate community leadership and give a gift of $1,000 or more to their local Federation’s Annual Campaign.
BGS was founded on the principles of David Ben-Gurion, the first prime minister of Israel, who urged young adults to channel their power, passion and resources to build a strong and responsible Jewish community.
Here in Detroit, our goals for BGS include:
Leadership
Developing leadership roles for young Jewish lay leaders in our community
Community
Fostering a sense of camaraderie among young, local Jewish leaders
Giving
Inspiring meaningful philanthropy by educating young donors on the countless ways their generosity makes an impact
And to show our appreciation for your generosity and commitment, we make sure BGS members have access to several exclusive leadership opportunities and social events throughout the year.
