The Jewish Federation of Detroit, ADL Michigan, and American Jewish Committee
(AJC) Detroit look forward to welcoming all parents and caregivers of students
in public and non-Jewish independent schools for an afternoon focused on
community, advocacy, and learning.
Through panel discussions with educators, resource-focused workshops for both
parents and students, and the opportunity to explore community responses to
real-life scenarios, we aim to empower families to navigate the complexities
facing Jewish students in schools across our communities.
Attendees will learn about community resources available to respond when
incidents occur, tips for successful advocacy from parents who have been on
the frontlines, and opportunities to help make sure schools in our community
are safe and welcoming places for Jewish students.
Light refreshments will be served. High school students are encouraged to
attend.
