The Jewish Federation of Detroit is the cornerstone of the Detroit Jewish community.
Our mission is simple: To take care of the needs of the Jewish people and build a vibrant Jewish future, in Detroit, in Israel and around the world.
For more than a century, the Federation has brought our community together to respond to urgent needs, provide essential services and invest in the strength and continuity of Jewish life. We are powered by thousands of donors, volunteers and partners who share a deep commitment to Jewish values, collective responsibility and a sense of belonging to something greater than ourselves.
Our Impact
Federation serves as the central hub of Jewish philanthropy, planning and action in Metro Detroit. Through a network of local agencies and overseas partners, we support a wide range of programs and initiatives that reflect the diverse needs and aspirations of our community. These include:Â

We provide vital support to individuals and families facing hardship—from seniors in need of care, to those struggling with mental health, housing insecurity or food access.Â
